American Disposal Services wanted us to share with the community the message below. They apologize for all the recent delays due to unforeseen inclement weather, the high rise of Covid cases affecting their personnel, and labor shortages that have caused multiple delays.
Good Morning,
We would like you to pass along this message to your communities about the primary cause of delays in trash/recycle pick-ups. Not only is the labor shortage still having an impact, but every week we have multiple drivers out with Covid, which has been the leading cause for the recent trash/recycle delays. Unfortunately, delays are happening in all service areas. Please understand we’re doing everything we can to aggressively hire new drivers and are starting to make progress on that. It seems like we’re finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We’re hoping to be fully staffed again by Spring when trash starts to ramp up again. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience it’s causing your communities, and we will continue to do our best to fulfill all trash/recycle pick-ups as scheduled.
