| Wednesday Evening Snow Clearing Update - Such a large accumulation of snow has certainly presented a challenge to meet residents’ needs and expectations from response time to results. We appreciate your patience as our contractor has worked to clear paths through the neighborhood. We also recognize and appreciate those residents who helped fellow neighbors shovel steps, walkways, and cars. We ask that you continue to help each other as you are willing and able while our contractor makes additional rounds to clean up paths and treat trouble spots.
A few residents have requested work which would require Bobcats to remove or push back remaining snowbanks. Though it is understood the snow is an inconvenience, at this time, we are not planning to implement such measures as we have to consider the negative financial impact this may have on the community budget. This would cost upwards of an additional $30,000.
Please communicate to PMP if you are unable to get out or unable to seek assistance from fellow neighbors. We want to ensure we are keeping lines of communication open and not overlooking any safety concerns as we look forward to warmer days ahead this coming weekend.

| Thursday Trash Pickup Services - Update on Trash Pickup:
1/26 – Update on Snow Clearing:
Good morning: Please remember that when cleaning your vehicles do not dump the snow in the road. This is causing a large mound to build in the road that the plow drivers cannot push, especially if there are cars parked in those spaces as the snow will fall and potentially damage the vehicles. The contractors are working diligently to get every road open but they need the cooperation from the residents. All the roads are now open, with the exception of Alberta. The contractor came last night and treated the roads and will treat them again this evening to help expedite the melting on the roads. We will continue to send updates as they are received.
1/25 – 5pm – New Update:
The plows were through the community today and were able to open all but two of the streets. They were not able to access Alberta Ter and part of Forum Ter due to vehicles being parked in the street. Please move your vehicles that are parked in the street and blocking the plows. They will be back again tomorrow afternoon in another attempt to clear those streets. As a reminder please do not clean your vehicles off and then dump the snow in the street. This will create issues for residents as they attempt driving on the roads.
We appreciate your cooperation.
1/25 – 2pm:
We have three plows in the community working now and VDOT appears to have a bobcat working on Jacqueline. There is no word on when they will plow Eden.
The contractor will continue to work to clear our streets.
Clean up after this storm is likely to take several days. Please remember when you clean off your car to not put the snow back into the streets if they have been plowed. Please make sure to park to allow plow trucks access down the streets as well.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation while we deal with this storm.

| Snow Clearing Reminders - As we all prepare for the possible winter storm this weekend we would like to send out a few reminders about snow clearing and other helpful information. A winter storm warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected. Heavy, wet snow and gusty winds could lead to power outages and difficult driving conditions. Drivers are urged to only travel in the event of an emergency. Both Townhome and Single Family Home residents are responsible to clear and treat the sidewalks in front of their home no later than 24 hours after a storm. Please DO NOT shovel snow back into the streets. Streets in the townhome areas are plowed by a private contractor hired by the HOA. During heavier snowfalls, making roads passable is the contractor’s first priority. This does not mean that roads will be cleared from curb to curb. Expect a narrow pathway down the center of the road. The contractor can be expected to start plowing streets once there is 2 inches or more of accumulated snow. Parking bays are not cleared by the association. As a reminder there are no reserving or claiming parking spaces by putting objects in a space. Parking is on a first come first serve basis and there are no reserved spaces within the community. SINGLE FAMILY HOMES Streets in the single family home areas are maintained by VDOT. If you have questions or concerns about the plowing of VDOT roads please contact them at (703) 737-2010. ALL Trash services may be interrupted as a result of this storm. For up to the minute information regarding delays or service cancellations, please visit the website at www.americandisposal.com. ————————————————— Some additional reminders from Winter Storm Newsletter of Phyllis J. Randall, Chair, At-Large, County of Loudoun Board of Supervisors: We encourage you not to venture out and drive in this storm.
