Updated Trash Service Notice

Due to the snowfall on 1/3/2022,  American Disposal will not collect the trash until the next scheduled day which is Thursday. Recycling will be collected on the next scheduled date, which is Monday, January 10^th.

A Few Snow Reminders:

• It is the responsibility of each resident to shovel the sidewalk in front of their home.  Please be courteous to your neighbors who use the sidewalks and perform this task.
• Snowplows will be coming through the neighborhoods.  However, please remember that even if your street has been plowed most secondary/side roads may not be plowed.  Do not plan to travel during the storm or for SEVERAL HOURS after it stops.  Let the emergency vehicles work on the streets.
• Because of the duration of the event, residents should be patient.  It will take time to plow streets and remember VDOT does secondary streets last.
• The snow will be very heavy and wet, please don’t overexert yourself.
• Wait until the storm is over to dig out cars and do not throw snow back into the streets as it will get pushed back behind cars.  It’s best to move the snow to the sidewalk side of the cars as plows can only push snow right and left they can’t push snow forward very far or pick up and move the snow elsewhere.
